1.) Chronic Neck and Low Back Pain: 4/5 people will experience neck and/or back pain at some point in their lives. There are many structures in the neck or lower back that can contribute to long-term pain. Neck and back pain can ultimately have a disabling effect on daily living and prevent people from doing the activities they enjoy. Additionally, many common pain management strategies offer only temporary relief and don’t typically solve the source of pain. Research indicates that back surgery is ineffective for most people.
ENHANCED SPINAL DECOMPRESSION THERAPY (ESDT): Spinal Decompression (SDT) is a non-invasive traction based treatment outcome for people who suffer with neck, low back, arm, or leg pain caused by damaged or degenerative spinal discs.
Spinal discs are the compressive shock absorbers of the spine and can be subjected to injury due to direct trauma, ongoing physical stress, and from chronic inflammation that weakens the discs leading to bulging, herniation, and degeneration of the discs. Most commonly this occurs in the lower back or in the lower part of the neck. The common conditions that respond favorably to SDT are bulging or herniated discs, spinal stenosis, sciatic pain, arm pain, facet (joint) pain, spondylosis (spinal degeneration), and in some cases even failed back surgery.
Spinal decompression is performed in sessions that are done over a period of weeks to accelerate the healing and recovery of the disc(s) and surrounding structures. The care is “enhanced” by incorporating several additional treatments including Class IV laser, the Piezowave 2 focused shockwave, and the emField high energy induction therapy or HEIT. These added treatments address the other structures that are often causing pain whenever there are disc problems in the spine. These structures include: muscles, tendons, ligaments, joint capsules, and other connective tissues.

2.) Chronic Knee Pain: Roughly 1 in 4 people will suffer from chronic knee pain that limits mobility and can negatively impact the quality of life. Knee pain can range from a dull and nagging ache to debilitating agony. It can affect people of all age ranges and is caused by an acute knee injury, persistent inflammation of the knee, or wear and tear over time. Degenerative changes to the knee are most common to people over the age of 50. Too often, middle-aged and senior individuals are told their knee pain is due to osteoarthritis. While arthritis may be a part of the pain generating process, there are many other structures in the knee that cause pain including: bursa, fat pads, tendons, ligaments, the meniscus, and the muscles that move the knee.
Our solution utilizes our regenerative therapies of focused shockwave, HEIT, and laser to target the pain generating structures and reduce the time it takes for these structures to repair. The goals of care are to reduce pain and help people return to their normal activities as quickly as possible. Also, people that have significant osteoarthritis but aren't old enough to have a knee replacement yet, may also benefit from treatment.

3.) Plantar Fasciitis/Foot & Ankle Pain: - About 40,000,000 people a year experience plantar fasciitis pain. The condition is most prevalent between the ages of 40-60 and occurs 2.5 times more in women than men. Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain, and bone spurs are a common development of plantar faciitis. Typical treatment for plantar fasciitis such as NSAID's, icing, steroid injections, and stretching don't often solve the issue. More than half of people with plantar fasciitis have ongoing symptoms five years after their initial diagnosis. In some cases, a person may experience the pain not just in one foot, but in both feet.
Effective treatment aims to stimulate healing of the fascia and to correct muscle and joint imbalances that affect the foot. We use focused shockwave and class IV laser to assist in the healing of the fascia and HEIT to rehabilitate the muscles in the calf and foot.

4.) Chronic Shoulder Pain/Rotator Cuff Injury: Around 70% of people will experience a shoulder problem at some point in their lifetime. Shoulder pain can be disruptive to daily living. Simple tasks such as reaching up, carrying, or lifting with that arm can be difficult due to pain. Shoulder problems aren't always the result of a specific injury and often develop over time due to poor posture, a loss of mobility in the upper part of the spine, and muscle weakness around the shoulder joint. Standard treatment is often pain medications, injections, physical therapy, and sometimes shoulder surgery. These outcomes often leave people frustrated because they don't reliably alleviate the pain and dysfunction.
Effective treatment aims to stimulate healing of injured muscle, tendon, ligaments, and joints as well as to properly strengthen the shoulder area and ensure optimal motion of the spine and rib cage. We use focused shockwave, laser, HEIT, chiropractic, and specific strengthening exercises to stimulate recovery.

5.) Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD): TMD involves a group of conditions that affect one or both of the jaw joints and the muscles that move the jaw. The symptoms of TMD include: Pain in the jaw, face, neck, shoulder, upper back, and migraine headaches. Earaches or ringing in the ears. Clicking, popping, or grating sounds when opening or closing the mouth. Difficulty chewing or biting. Locking of the jaw. Limited mouth movement. Clenching or grinding of the teeth. Dizziness. Sensitivity of the teeth.
TMD has a variety of causes, however, standard treatments are often ineffective at correcting the dysfunction and so people continue to experience pain. Our approach incorporates focused shockwave technology along with laser to treat the dysfunctional joint, the interarticular disc (cushion inside the TMJ), and the surrounding muscles that move the jaw.

6.) Athletic Care and Recovery: It is estimated that 3.5 million people, predominantly young players (teens, high school, and college level athletes) sustain injuries from participating in a sport. Many athletic injuries are due to overuse, improper recovery, and changes to flexibility, strength, and stability in the athlete’s body. It is not only critical to the longevity of an athlete to have their injuries treated efficiently, but also to make sure the athlete is training and recovering appropriately for the sport or sports that participate in. Our particular area of specialty is with the overhead athlete including the sports of baseball, softball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, and combat sports (BJJ and MMA).
We provide a variety of services to help the injured athlete get back to their sport as quickly as possible and work closely with other providers such as athletic trainers, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists to coordinate care for the athlete and weekend warrior.
